Krisan Marotta
Krisan invented the business of providing back office support to investment managers in 1992.
After graduating Phi Beta Kappa, “With Distinction” from Stanford University, Krisan worked as a technical writer for a software vendor, a non-profit organization, and two local governments. Her focus was designing computer manuals and hands-on training. She has mastered many different software programs and programming languages, written computer manuals, and taught software classes for both new and advanced users.
Krisan became interested in Centerpiece (now PortfolioCenter) when her in-laws, George and June Marotta, asked her to provide computer support for their asset management team. After selecting Centerpiece from the competing products, Krisan begin providing back office support for them.
At the time Performance Technologies, Inc. had only seven employees, so the company president answered the phone. As they got to know each other, he discovered what Krisan was doing and begin promoting her services. The rest, as they say, is history.
Since then, Krisan has handled every type of transaction and corrected every data error from a wide variety of brokers. She enjoys helping startup managers grow their businesses and she makes it a point to investigate the best ways to use every feature of PortfolioCenter.
Currently, Krisan works for investment managers in California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and Wyoming.
Krisan is married to David John Marotta, who is now an investment manager, having taken over his father’s business, and they have two teenage children. When she's not at her computer, you can find Krisan performing with the Skyline Country Cloggers.
